Terms of Service
Welcome to Grift. By using the app you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use Grift.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to use Grift. By using the app you represent that you meet that age requirement.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Apple. You’re responsible for keeping access to your Apple ID secure.
- One person, one account. Don’t impersonate other people or organizations.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Me tab. Deletion is permanent.
3. Posts and content
- You’re responsible for everything you post. You retain ownership of your content; by posting you grant Grift a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content inside the app.
- You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, deceptive, infringing, or that promotes violence or self-harm.
- We may remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate them.
- Grift caps each account at three posts per day by default. Users with a Grift Score of 500 or more may post once more per day (four total); users with a Grift Score of 1,000 or more may post twice more per day (five total). Posts auto-expire 3 days after they are published.
4. Reporting and blocking
- Use the in-app Report action on a post or user to flag content for review. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.
- Use the in-app Block action to stop seeing another user’s content. Blocking is symmetric: blocked users will not see your content either.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the app or its backends.
- Use automated tools to create, modify, or interact with content unless we expressly permit it.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or data.
- Use the app to spam, defraud, or otherwise harm other users.
6. Disclaimers and liability
GRIFT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GRIFT’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $50 USD OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.
7. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, dispute resolution) will survive.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will post a notice in the app. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
